✳ Free tool
Free short link generator.
Long links are a design flaw.
Paste a long URL, get a short one that never expires. Pairs nicely with our UTM builder (shorten the tagged link) and the QR generator (short URLs make simpler codes).
Your short link appears here.
When short links earn their keep
- Print and packaging — nobody types a 90-character URL from a flyer.
- Social bios and posts — character limits and cleaner previews.
- Tracked campaign links — UTM-tagged URLs get long and ugly; shorten them after tagging.
- QR codes — shorter URLs produce simpler codes that scan more reliably at small sizes.
Questions we hear a lot
Do the short links expire?
No. Once created, a short link keeps redirecting for as long as this service exists. There's no signup, so there's also nothing to renew.
Are clicks tracked?
We count total clicks per link (a simple counter, no cookies and no personal data about the people clicking). It powers abuse monitoring and keeps the service healthy.
Can I choose a custom short code?
Not yet — codes are random six characters. If custom slugs would help you, tell us; it's on the list.
Why is there a limit on link creation?
Open URL shorteners attract spammers. Rate limits keep the service clean so your links stay trustworthy.
